I love Lake District weddings!
I'm married to Shelagh and moved to the Lake District around 18 years ago so our three children could grow up in this special place. We love everything about this wonderful county and all the opportunities it offers for fell walking, scrambling, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, camping... and photography, of course!
I've loved photography since my teens and come from a large family - I have two brothers, two sisters and 17 nephews and nieces - so it's no surprise I ended up as a Lake District wedding photographer!
Weddings are such special occasions and so much fun to photograph, so I'd love to capture your wedding for you too - whatever your age, race, religious beliefs, gender identity or sexual orientation.
I cover the whole of the Lake District and Cumbria without any extra charges, including Ambleside, Bowness, Cockermouth, Kendal, Keswick, Newby Bridge, Penrith and Windermere. I'm also available nationwide and just ask for reasonable travel expenses in addition to my normal fees.
My ApProach to Lake District Wedding Photography
I specialise in unobtrusive, documentary style photography for informal, relaxed Lake District weddings. I aim to capture the story of your day as it actually happens, together with some natural portraits that involve the minimum of direction, posing and disruption to the flow of your special day, while making the most of the stunning Lake District scenery.
Before your wedding day, I'll talk with you about what you want from your wedding photography, to make sure you'll get the pictures you want from your special day. While my main priority will normally be documenting the day as it unfolds, I'll also capture any details, group shots and portraits that you'd like too.
After the day, I'll edit your images in a natural, timeless way to bring out the best of your wedding day, without effects and filters that may look dated in years to come.
