On a wedding day I typically combine documentary, portrait (creative and traditional) and detail photographic approaches to ensure your day is captured in all it's glory while ensuring the best experience for you and your guests:

Documentary

The vast majority of pictures I deliver from a wedding are usually 'in the moment' photos documenting the story of the day as it unfolds, from getting ready until dancing the night away. Often, you and your guests will be unaware of these photos being taken, though I may occasionally get more involved to suggest how a moment might be captured in the best way possible.

Groups

Group portraits of family, wedding party and friends continue to be an important part of most peoples' wedding day, so it's no problem if you'd like some too. I love taking group shots and place the emphasis on making it a fun experience for you and your guests, while getting the shots you've requested as smoothly and quickly as possible. I'm very happy to take traditional, relaxed or creative group photos or a mix of all three!

Portraits

Don't worry if you don't feel comfortable in front of the camera - you're in good company as most of us feel the same way! There's no need to worry though as I'll talk things through with you beforehand and then help you to relax and enjoy the experience on the day, while capturing some beautiful, natural portraits without lots of posing and direction, that make the most of the epic Lake District scenery.

Details

At each stage of your wedding, I'm ready to capture shots of all the little details that make your wedding so special and unique to you. I'll prioritise the shots that are most important to you and get them while you're getting ready or during the in-between moments as you move from one part of your day to another, so I'm there to capture all the action as it happens.
